Alberto Mena Jr. first joined Silman in 2008 as a college intern and was subsequently hired as an engineer in our Boston office in 2009. He left Silman in 2013 but later rejoined the New York office in 2017 as a Senior Project Engineer, followed by his promotion to Associate in 2019. He manages new construction, adaptive reuse, and renovation projects for educational, residential, and cultural institution clients.

A few projects he is currently involved with include the Hispanic Society Museum & Library in New York, NY; the adaptive reuse of the Battery Maritime Building in New York, NY; and the Times Square Theater, a new 6-story, 52,000 sf retail building that will be connected to the historic facade of an existing 2-story building in the Theater District of New York, NY.
